CLERMONT 20/20 PROJECTS RECORD SPRING
LITTER CLEAN-UP IN 2003

In a continuing effort to improve the environment and provide a safer and cleaner quality of life in Clermont County, the Clermont 20/20 Clean and Green Collaborative has announced an ambitious goal of recruiting at least 500 volunteers for this spring's major litter pick-up and clean-up effort set for Saturday, April 26.

Both Cindy Jenkins, Executive Director of Clermont 20/20, and Kelly Flannery, Chair of the Clean and Green Collaborative agreed that, "with four consecutive years of successful growth, and the ongoing environmental challenges we face, this fifth year should reflect an unprecedented turn-out of the individual volunteers, organizations, and the Clermont County business community."

Volunteers who participate in picking up the litter along Clermont County's roads and streams on Saturday morning, April 26, will arrive at one of four designated meeting places for indoctrination and then move on to sites selected for clean-up.

There are staging areas that have been identified throughout Clermont County. Volunteers will meet at these respective areas at 9:00 a.m. on April 26th and leave from those locations for the pick-up. Lunch will be provided to volunteers beginning at 11:30 at the same locations.
