It is with sadness that we share that our friend, mentor, and founder, Bill Over, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2003. Bill fought hard against cancer since it was discovered earlier this year, and worked on behalf of the community right up until the end. Bill's legacy surrounds all of us, whether we are the leaders he supported, encouraged and helped to develop, or the many good programs in the community that make Clermont County a much better place for all of us to live, learn, work and play.

Bill took risks even when the naysayers offered otherwise. He taught many of us many things, but more than anything, he taught us to work hard for what we believe is right and always for what would improve the world around us.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the Clermont Educational Opportunities Scholarship Program at 119 West Main Street, Amelia, OH 45102 to help young people go on to higher education. Bill's work over the last two years has focused on developing the now very successful college access program in Clermont County, Clermont Educational Opportunities. He recently received the Award of Excellence for his work on this program at the Ohio College Access Network State Conference in September. In addition, CEO, under Bill's leadership, earned the Conlan Award for Excellence in College Access Programming from the KnowledgeWorks Foundation.

A private service for the family is being planned, but a visitation will be held at Tufts Shildmeyer Funeral Home in Loveland. Please check your newspaper for the time of this visitation. Our prayers and thoughts are with his wife, Gloria and his sons, Kevin, Jim and Jerry, stepdaughter Marianne and stepson Michael and their families in this difficult time.

Bill Over, we salute you for making all of our lives richer and more meaningful through your lifework.
