  1. Clean & Green
    The annual Clermont County Clean & Green day is set for Saturday, April 24, 2004. This is the day that the community takes back Clermont county form the litter that has plagued it. Each year over 500 volunteers from around the county volunteer to help pick up the litter. Participants will meet at staging areas around the county where they will be provided with a free t-shirt, gloves, bags and other supplies need for the clean-up. The clean-up will run from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., participants will then meet back at there staging area where they will be provided with lunch.   2. The Fourth Annual Leadership Day
    Clermont 20/20, Inc. and the LEAD Clermont Class of 2004 are delighted to invite the Clermont and Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community to "Serve to Lead" Leadership Day, Thursday, May 13, 2004. The core theme of this leadership development experience is "Servant Leadership."

    A practical philosophy and model, which supports people who choose to serve first, Servant Leadership represents a way of expanding service to individuals and institutions. Servant Leadership is based on the writings of Robert Greeneleaf and is headquartered at the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership in Indianapolis, Indiana. This not-for-profit center provides dissemination of the servant leadership philosophy throughout the world.

  3. Annual Clermont 20/20 Golf Scramble
    Clermont 20/20 will host it's annual golf scramble on Monday, June 21, 2004 at the beautiful Legendary Run Golf Course in Pierce Township. Golfers this year will be treated to lunch by Charlie Baz'L's Bar & Grille located in Milford, four drink tickets, great golf fun with the opportunity to win many prizes on and off the golf course, followed by dinner that is also provided by Charlie Baz'L's Bar & Grille. Reservations for foursomes are now being accepted. For more information about the golf scramble, please review the Registration Form.   4. United Way Volunteer of the Year
    On Thursday, April 22, 2004 Gene Bishop will be awarded the United Way Volunteer of the Year Award during the United Way's Annual Meeting. Gene is a graduate of the Clermont 20/20 Senior Leadership Class of 2001 where he is still very much involved with that program through its Advisory Committee. When an opportunity came Gene’s way through the Senior Leadership Program, with the chance to become a volunteer mentor for students at Glen Este High School through a mentoring program created by Debbie Siegroth he jumped on it. Gene is now helping to coordinate the efforts of a new mentoring program that was implemented at Williamsburg High School in January of this year. Gene is involved in so many different activities throughout the county, please help us honor him as he accepts a much deserved award.   5. Clermont 20/20 Welcomes Clermont County’s New Executives and Professionals
    Twelve newly promoted and newly relocated executives and professionals from Clermont County came together, in March, for an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at Clermont County. The First Impressions Program, sponsored by Batavia Transmissions, LLC welcomed Deb Rymer, IT Manager, 3M Precision Optics, Dr. Jan Hillard, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, UC – Clermont, Jim Quatman, Assistant Superintendent, Milford Exempted Village Schools, Peggy O’Hara Chalker, Assistant Dean, Enrollment/Student Services, UC – Clermont, Michael G. Reardon, Director of Eastgate Branch, Wilmington College, Nancy & Charlie Weaver, Owners of Solutions Plus. Inc., Stanley Raymond, Director of Behavioral Medicine, Mercy Hospital Clermont, Mary Roenker, OSU Community Development Agent, Paul Dygert, Director of Purchasing, Batavia Transmissions, LLC, Whit Hickman, Executive Director, YMCA, and Julie Woodward, Special Needs Coordinator, Great Oaks.   6. Leadership Class Nominations
    The LEAD Clermont Advisory Committee is hard at work processing the nominations and application for the LEAD Clermont Class of 2005. These nominations are being accepted through April 15 and applications through April 30. [LEAD Clermont Nomination form and Application form.]

  7. Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra
    The Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra invites you to Swing into Spring at the Philharmonic Phling! Enjoy an evening of Wine Tasting Dancing, featuring the Blue Chip Jazz Band. The event will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2004 from 7:30 p.m. to Midnight at The Armory. For more information or to register call 513-732-2561.
     
  8. Cincinnati Nature Center
    Spring Into Nature with Cincinnati Nature Center! Join the fun at Long Branch Farm & Trails during Farm Babies & Plant Sale, Saturday and Sunday, May 1 & 2 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Meet our newborn farm animals, enjoy fun and games, and take a wagon ride.
