The Clermont 20/20, Inc. Clean and Green Program started the year with good news – the program received a $1,000 grant from the 3M Foundation. "We are so fortunate to have such good corporate neighbors. Without such generosity all of our programs would suffer. The 3M funding will be used to promote participation in the Clean and Green Spring Litter Pickup, recruiting volunteers and raising awareness of the effects and consequences of litter on our county and its residents." stated Becky Ploucha, Clean and Green Program Coordinator. The 2007 Clean and Green Spring Litter Pickup is scheduled for Saturday, April 21st. Community Captains and volunteers are needed. All ages are welcome! To participate in this event or other ongoing projects, contact Becky Ploucha at 513-753- 9222 or cleanandgreen@clermont2020.org.

The Clermont Educational Opportunities (college access) Program of Clermont 20/20, Inc. has been awarded the Seal of Good Practice from the Ohio College Access Network. We applied for this accreditation status several months ago. This accreditation is critical to future funding by OCAN, as well as from other partnering funding sources. There is one step above this Seal, the Seal of Excellence. We will begin the process of applying for this level of accreditation immediately. Reginald A. Wilkinson, Ed.D., President and CEO of OCAN included the following from his letter: "...We applaud the efforts your team made to provide us with the volume of information necessary for evaluating your program. You have successfully demonstrated the strength of your organization and the services you provide... We are pleased to have such a strong example of college access organization working toward a better future for Ohio..."
