In 1993, visionary leaders realized the need for a local fund to support the charitable needs of Clermont County. The late William Over and others involved with Clermont 20/20 teamed up with The Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) to establish The Clermont Community Fund. Today The Clermont Community Fund exists to benefit the county's nonprofits with a source of revenue. Under GCF's stewardship as the region's community foundation, generous donors are able to invest in the community. Organizations that have benefited in the past include: Clermont 20/20, Clermont Counseling Center, Clermont County Community Services, Equi-Kids, Phoenix Place, Inc. and St. Thomas Housing Corporation . Bill Over was committed to developing opportunities in Clermont County. His vision and passion were an inspiration. Thanks to Bill's foresight, both Clermont 20/20 and the Clermont Community Fund help the county thrive. "Bill's legacy surrounds all of us, whether we are the leaders he supported, encouraged and helped to develop, or the many good programs in the community that make Clermont County a much better place for all of us to live, learn, work and play," said Cynthia Jenkins, executive director of Clermont 20/20. For more information on The Clermont Community Fund please contact Chuck Fink at 513-324-6279. | |||||

The Courage to be Humble The courage to be human is the courage to be humble. It takes a lot of courage to admit that you aren't always right, that you can't always anticipate every possibility, that you can't envision every future, that you can't solve every problem, that you can't control every variable, that you aren't always congenial, that you make mistakes, and that you are, well, human. It takes courage to admit all these things to others, but it may take even more courage to admit them to yourself. If you can find humility to do that, however, you invite others into a courageous conversation. When you let down your guard and open yourself to others, you invite them to join you in the creation of something that you alone could not create. When you become more modest, and unpretentious, others have the chance themselves to become visible and noticed. (Kouzes & Posner, 2006, p. 156-157) Reference: Kouzes, J.M., & Posner, B.Z., (2006).
